You Think You Might Be Pregnant
If your period is late or you think you might be pregnant, you have a number of choices:
- You can get a pregnancy test from any local chemist or supermarket or a test can be carried out for free at a GP surgery or Family Planning Clinic.
- Talk to someone who can give you support and tell you where and how to get help. Try and talk to your parents, carers or a family member or if you feel you are unable to talk to them a Teacher, Sexual Health Outreach Worker, Connexions Adviser, School Nurse, Youth Worker of ring Brook Helpline 0800 0185023

If you have had unprotected sex, a split condom or been sick while taking the pill access emergency contraception as soon as possible after you have had sex to help avoid pregnancy. The Emergency Contraceptive Pill is available from GP surgeries, Family Planning Clinics and some local chemists (where you see a pill sign in their window).
